The Disturbing Costs of Fireworks Night | Submitted: 08 Nov 2001 | Here is a summary of this year's firework related incidents that happened in Redbridge:
Wednesday: Arson attack on fireworks shop causing £4000 in damage - people broke in and lit a selection in the middle of the store. Four fire engines were used and a coupld and a baby in the flat above the shop had to be rescued.
Four cars set alight in Ilford on Monday.
Bins set alight in Perryman's Farm Road
Block of garages gutted by fire in Mansfield Road
Firework through letterbox of an air conditioning firm.
Three Royal Mail postboxes had fireworks inserted.
Park pavillion set alight in Seven Kings Park. Two fire engines needed.
