This week's news in brief! | Submitted: 26 Nov 2001 | A teenager who mad a hoax call to police on September 11th to report a fictional missing person in the WTC attack, has been told by district judge Mr Gillibrand that is was 'almost inevitable' that he would go to jail for it. The teenager said his serious depression lead him to do it. He will face final sentence possible on December 6th.
Acting head teacher of Oakdale Junior school has dies from cancer at the age of 48. Gareth Brooke-Williams was taken ill in July. He had also worked at Highlands Primary School and Cleveland Junior School.
