03/07/2011 | Review from visitor CB | Overall rating 10/10 | | Fabulous Sunday Buffet with lots of options for starters, main courses and desserts. Service efficient and polite. Food excellent for a buffet (not quite as good as their evening a la carte but wasn't expecting it to be!) Highly recommend for Sunday lunch with family or friends | | 30/06/2011 | Review from visitor Anon | Overall rating 9/10 | | Excellent food. Great place. Great ambiance. Strongly recommended. | | 03/11/2007 | Review from visitor Ray & Sandra | Overall rating 8/10 | | We took our daughter there to celebrate her 21st birthday with the rest of the family and with the small exception of a spilt drink at the beginning lf the evening we had a great time. The food was very good as was the service and the live music really set a nice ambience. In fact my daughter hadn''t seen the performer and thought that we were listening to a cd recording. | | 01/02/2007 | Review from visitor Rupert | No rating available | | The Elephant Royale Thai is clearly very popular and offers a warm, friendly atmosphere, attractive decor and excellent food. Staff are very polite and efficient. Prices are not excessive but well aligned with the quality of the food and service. I would definitely go again if I was in the area. | | 05/12/2003 | Review from visitor Georgina D | No rating available | | I regret that I had one of the most unpleasant meals I have ever experienced and I was most embarrassed for our host. The decibels from the pianist were completely deafening. My little party were comletely unable to converse and we ended up with headaches - moreover two polite complaints were shrugged aside. Eventually we were moved- but to a table an equivalent distance from the noise as the original one. The food wasn''t bad- but completely spoilt for us. Very disappointing. | | 15/07/2003 | Review from visitor Nigel | Overall rating 5/10 | | I had heard from relatives about their Thai Sunday lunch buffet. The place is large and the inside is very impressive, with the number of plants and ornamental features. The staff were also good, no problem there. Being a buffet I have no idea about how long waiting times would be for a la carte dishes. I didnt find the as good as I had heard about, but it certainly was quite nice. | |
