Anilou... I had a quick look on Google maps and the only Queens road I could find near Ilford, as such, is at the back of Barking station. There are a few more scattered around but this was closest to Ilford town centre.. I Can't remember Tony's Cafe though , sorry....

Dear Misty, I wasn't around in the 1950s so can't really comment on what it was like then. I wasn't even around in the 60s. All I know is that Ilford is not a nice place to live and I can not recommend it. Best wishes...

Dear Guest 123...what great ideas. Unfortunately, the council won't oblige. Ilford is a very nasty place to live. The only solution is to get out of it if you can. We don't even have a swimming pool for goodness sake!!!

hey people living round ilford and that has become very attractive to bing drinkers, crime within the retail area... the council are ensuring to make ilford is a better place that would rather tackle down one of the most common nd non common abuse you get, CAmeras should have ben put within the ilford town hall area, and within exchange... my feeling and viberatation is that police should do more to stop murders, knife crime, theifs stealing ...and alot more.. there should be a community centre where teenagers and adults can go in and make new freinds, play activites and sports make themselves useful or even voluntree to help those in need...

Hey, guest - the problem with the forum is that the few remaining users have nothing left to say yet make newcomers feel very unwelcome.
