  • Man and car set alight
    On May 18th, while a man was sleeping in his car, his car was set alight by an unknown person. It is being treated as attempted murder. The man remains critically ill and has now come off a ventilator. He can only repond to questions by squaazing his hand. It happened in Brooking Way, Forest Gate. Contact police on 020 8217 5342 if you have any information.

  • Shops targeted by racist vandals
    Thugs stole security lights from the Chigwell and Haunault Synagogue, wrote racist slogans on nearby shops and homes of neighbouring Asian families. It appears to be the work of kids. The graffiti included symbols for the National Front and combat 18.

  • This week's news in brief!
    Man shot with airgun as a car drove by, outside the entrance to The Exchange in Cranbrook Road.
  • Ilfor'd oldest building is open to the public. The Chapel on the Hill is a 5 minute walk from Ilford Station, and has been there since ad.1145. Appears fo be open on Saturdays, phone Redbridge Council for details.
  • The 6th Redbridge Green Fair was a huge success. It attracted more than 4000 people to Valentines Park. It is an environmental event, with many stalls, demonstrations on being green and fun stuff too.
