- Musical Fireworks at Barnardo's Village Green
Sunday 9th November - Musical fireworks at Barnardo's, Tanners Lane, Barkingside.
Pre-fireworks entertainment by Pink tribute artist - Fun fair - Glowies - Barbecue - Beer & wine tent - Teas - Coffees
Fireworks at 7.30pm - Pink tribute artist 6.15pm and 7.00pm - Gates open 5.45pm.
More info: call 020 8498 7142 during office hours. No personal fireworks are allowed on site including sparklers.

- Christmas lights switch on soon!
On November 12th the Redbridge Christmas lights will be switched on. Nick Bailey, a.k.a Dr Anthony Truman from Eastenders will be there along with Redbridge Mayor Cllr Vanessa Cole and stars fro mthe Kenneth More Theatre. The fun starts at 4pm with a laser lights show. A lantern procession will follow by school children. The switch-on is at 6pm and there will be a fireworks display too. [Add your comment]
- Ilford girl wins title of Great British champion in Irish dancing, held in Bristol.
A girl from Ilford wins the Great British Irish Dancing Championships. Former world champion herself, she beat the reigning world champion with a routine she choreographed herself.

- Pop Idol success for Barkingside man
A man from Barkingside has made it through to the final 12 of ITV's Pop Idol. Marc Dillon, 22, who has spent a year in prison for his role in a mugging also performed at The Exchange recently. [Add your comment or read 1 from others]
