What a shame that the forum on here is hardly ever used any longer. I used to love reading all the banter.

I did not go to school in Ilford, infact I did not get much schooling due to the war. I am 73 years of age, and my friends are older also their memories are fading. Does that answer your question Latka?

Does anyone have any information on the Willis family between 1890-1915 who had a bootmakers business in Ilford highroad at that time i would be grateful for any information that you can give me many thanks

Cara - Did you go to school in Ilford? Did they not teach punctuation? If your friends still live in Ilford, why not ask them about it?

i posted a comment last year on this site and keep thinking of the good times had in Ilford in the sixties, got me thinking of all the people i knew and wonder what happened to them or where they ended up.I used to attend Wycliffe church youth club and after spent a lot of my time frequenting The Cranbrook pub.One extreme to the other,it would be nice to here from anybody that knew me,especially some .i used to live in Empress Ave off of the drive

What can I say about Ilford not a lot really. I have met some really nice people here though, and of course some horrid ones too. Ilford on the whole isn't the best of places then again its not the worse place in the UK.
