  • Staff did not help dying man at Ilford Station.
    A court heard that a man who was stabbed after an attack tried to get help at Ilford Station. He collapsed after taking about three steps inside. The disturbing thing is that there were two ticket inspectors who had refused to give any help, not even allowing use of their first aid box as "it was for passengers or staff only". The trial continues.

  • Proposed Budget will benefit services
    Redbridge Council's Labour Group's budget, which will go under further consultation next month, proposes to put up the money to save Sir James Hawkey Hall, Woodford Bridge. It also proposes that Council Tax should be put up by only 1.8 per cent, although the Greater London Authority precept set by London Mayor Ken Livingstone, may push this up to 34 per cent.

    £3250 is to be set aside to investigate mobile phone transmitter emissions on Carnarvon Road, the road where 5 out of 7 homes surrounding the facility have cancer victims.
