  • Former Tory MP Neil Hamilton arrested in Ilford for alleged sexual offences
Former Tory MP Neil Hamilton was arrested with his wife, Christine at Barkingside Police Station on Friday after serious allegations of serious sexual assault.

On May 5 this year they were alleged to have taken part in a rape at a property in Ilford. A 28-year-old college lecturer, claims the couple performed indecent acts on her while a 60-year-old man raped her. The couple have strongly denied the allegations, and think that these allegations are part of a smear campaign against him. There is strong evidence to suggest they were nowhere near the area at the time of the alleged attack.

Coincidentally, Louis Theroux was shadowing the couple for his documentary series and followed them to the police station too.

The couple were interviewed for 5 hours at Barkingside Police Station before being released on bail.
