| Just visited my mum off PERTH ROAD,decided to drive through ILFORD(for memories sake,normaly go via GANTS HILL.Everywares gone?Cranbrook Pub,Mocha Cafe,Lacy Lady,Odeon cinama Perth road.GLAD I"VE STILL GOT THE MEMORIES.Growing up in ILFORD through the 60-70S was so vibrant.Went to GEARIES BOYS SCHOOL.

| Grew up in Seven Kings and went to Downshall, juniors and seniors. A magic time for me. I find out that Downshall senior school was knocked over and rebuilt. The people have changed a great deal and all the Ilford icons have been knocked over in the name of progress. What a shame. Ilford is now Redbridge and the only thing left is the Ilford town hall. Most of the High Street is a Mall. General Havelock and Cauliflower is still there. That's good. How long will the Ilford swimming pool be allowed to survive? Another hard question. |
